What is CADEX?

Football is WHAT we do, not WHO we are.

CADEX Legacy is a football training program out of Austin, built around one goal: transform the person beyond the athlete by bringing out their X-Factor that only they can own. The program is structured, repeatable, and catered to each individual. At CADEX Legacy, the name is the method.

The breakdown

Five letters. One standard.

Confidence

Confidence is built on preparation, here we prepare for all situations to be able to confidently perform in all aspects of life and on the field.

Action

We can't be confident until we take action and do the reps, study the film, and get ourselves fully prepared.

Detail

We don't just take meaningless action, we put detail into every movement, every lesson taught, every drill.

Execute

The details won't change anything unless we can execute when it matters most.

X-Factor

A player's X-Factor is how we unlock all of these steps; we find what makes each player unique on the field and as a person and teach them how to perform their best using their individual gifts.

Brett Skinner

Co-Founder

Before building CADEX, Brett was a Westlake state-champion quarterback — the experience behind the repeatable training system he now teaches.

The summer before his 8th grade season, Brett Skinner couldn't keep up. Constant fatigue, light-headed in the heat, a resting heart rate of 130 — he figured that was just what everybody felt. Four doctors in five days finally found it: hyperthyroidism and Graves' disease. His thyroid was removed that December. In the six months after surgery, he grew six inches and gained fifty pounds.

Then he had to earn it. Freshman ball, JV, and finally varsity at Westlake under Todd Dodge. When the starter went down week one, Brett got his first career start on the road at Converse Judson — and won. He won every game he started that season, including one over rival Lake Travis, until the semifinals. He had torn his labrum midway through the year and finished the playoffs on it. Later, off-season surgery ended his run at quarterback.

Brett knows what it feels like to be behind, to lose confidence in himself, and to want to quit. What brought that confidence back was trusting that God had a plan for him. He wants every kid who feels like giving up to know that he was there too.

Eric Skinner

Eric Skinner

Co-Founder

Eric Skinner's path into coaching started before he could drive. He played wide receiver at Cedar Park High School, where he reached the state finals, but it was on the training and youth-coaching side that he found his calling — mentoring young players in his own community starting at just 16 years old.

That early start paid off. Eric went on to lead a team to the NFL Flag football national championship, becoming the youngest coach in NFL Flag history — a distinction that still shapes how he approaches developing young athletes today. He later coached at the high school level as an assistant coach for Stillwater High School's defensive backs, helping the program reach the state finals, and has volunteered his time with numerous select football teams along the way.

As co-founder of CADEX Legacy, Eric now channels that same drive into the company's volunteer coaching program, built to give kids a chance to learn the game, build confidence, and eventually pay it forward to the next generation.
